_{Bless this milk and bless this bread,}

_{Bless this soft and waiting bed.}

_{Where I presently shall be}

_{Wrapped in sweet security.}

_{Through the darkness, through the night,}

_{Let no danger come to fright.}

_{My sleep till morning once again,}

_{Beckons at the window pain.}

_{Bless the toys whose shapes I know,}

_{The shoes that take me to and fro.}

_{Up and down and everywhere,}

_{Bless my little painted chair.}

_{Bless my lamplight, bless the fire,}

_{Bless the hands that never tire.}

_{In their loving care of me,}

_{Bless my friends and family.}

_{Bless my Father and my Mother,}

_{And keep us close to one another.}

_{Bless other children far and near,}

_{And keep them safe and free from fear.}

_{So let me sleep and let me wake,}

_{In peace and health, for Jesus’ sake.}
